The Fort la Reine Museum is located on the east edge of Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. The museum is dedicated to preserving the heritage of the Canadian Prairies and the history of the City and Municipality of Portage la Prairie. Fort la Reine Museum has over 25 different buildings displaying thousands of individual artifacts including native artifacts that pre-date the arrival of Europeans to more modern pieces such as farm equipment and military artifacts from the 20th Century.

During the evenings of Sept. 19 and 20th, the Fort La Reine Museum and A & E Entertainment in Portage La Prairie present Mystery at the Museum Ghost Stories, so reserve your tickets now for Mystery at the Museum - Ghost Stories, a theatrical night tour of Fort la Reine Museum, and share the unexpected!
This will be an advanced ticket purchase event that the museum will be open into the evening hours. Tours begin at 6:00pm and start every 15 minutes until 9:00 pm, see below for availability. The cost is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and youth, $5 for children 12 and under. Family Pass is also available 2 adults and 3 children under 12 for only $25

Haunted Museum Vigil October 4th 7-10PM Ghost adventures anyone? A three hour facilitated evening attempt to contact spirits at the Museum. For the first time, Muddy Water Tours has been invited to explore this museum. Assist them in finding out who is haunting this place, assist them if they can match our ghostly experiences to the staff's and more! They will attempt to use table tipping, the glass sliding technique, a scanner and bring in a medium to assist. Additionally, they will use dowsing rods and pendulums, repetitive sounds/music and other tools of the trade such as K2 meters, Ghost Radar, and digital recording tools.
